Imagine a preserved railway where,
every weekend in summer, up to ten main line locomotives are
in steam,
hauling both passenger and freight trains on a double track main
line.
A typical day will see a couple of Stanier Class 5s, an 8F, perhaps
a “Hall”,
an SR S15, a 'U' and a 'Battle of Britain'
– and an LNER K5 mogul, an unrebuilt Royal Scot and an
unrebuilt “Merchant Navy”.
Impossible?
Not quite - Take a look at the Great Cockrow Railway ... |
