The autumn of 2000 saw the Highland Railway Heritage, in conjunction with Scotrail and Railtrack,
run a series of trains hauled by heritage steam locomotives.

Standard Class 4 locomotive No 75014, named ‘Braveheart’
specially for the season’s Jacobite trains, and the Thompson B1 Trust’s locomotive 61264 are seen
performing hard amongst some of the most scenic and beautiful countryside in the United Kingdom.

The sight and sound of the locos double heading the train up the gradients
of the Highland main line are truly awesome.

All being faithfully and professionally recorded on state-of-the-art digital equipment.
There is minimal commentary so not to spoil the locos action, with on-screen location and date information.

If you couldn’t be there to see it, then this programme is for you.
If you were there, this is a memorable record of steam in the Highlands for you to look back on.
