Using a High Definition Sony camera and a special camera mount fixed onto the sides of the steam locomotives
we have been to Wales filming in brilliant sunshine during the hottest July since records began,
to bring you a selection of six new programmes for your enjoyment.

The railways featured are:
Talyllyn Railway
Bala Lake Railway
Llanberis Lake Railway
Brecon Mountain Railway
Welshpool and Llanfair Railway
Vale of Rheidol

Featuring our now popular view from the driver’s seat format, filming from a selection of delightful narrow gauge
steam locomotives took place with the driver’s view captured for you to enjoy.
There is no commentary on these programmes, as the little engines speak for themselves,
slogging up the gradients on which most of these lines were built!
All programmes are captioned to show you the locations along the route.

Although today these railways are in the main tourist attractions, the drivers view has not significantly altered over
the decades and some of the early infrastructure of the railways origins can be seen.
These narrow gauge railways were designed and constructed over a hundred years ago predominantly to transport Welsh slate, minerals, and produce,  to ports or market towns with some passenger services offered as well.

Today they remarkably still survive thanks to the preservationists and owning groups who run them.

If you enjoy these programmes then why not support these railways by making a visit and help
continue to maintain an important part of Britain’s heritage and history.
