Think of fire engines and the name "Dennis" springs to mind.

Born in the Devon village of Huntsman, John and Raymond were the two brothers behind the legendary "Dennis Brothers" name.
In 1895, the brothers began a small business that lead them in to the manufacture of lawn mowers, cars, buses and fire engines.

The "F-series" of fire engines appeared in 1946 with the F12 being the more popular of the production runs.
The F12 was constructed around a wooden frame and skinned in aluminium being produced in both rear and side pump versions.

This programme will take a nostalgic and historical look back at the Middlesex Fire Brigade.
and will include never released operational images, footage of the last surviving aluminium sided F12 Fire engine along with other fascinating facts and figures.
